LIVIU C. CRACIUN, MD, PHD - Neurologist
Dr. Liviu C. Craciun graduated in 1995 from UMF “Gr. T. Popa” Iasi, Romania and afterward he pursued a neurology residency in his home country.
In 1998, he came to US and initially he focused on basic neurophysiology research –namely potassium ionic channels involved in peripheral neuropathy and epilepsy; he received a PhD from Mount Sinai School of Medicine of NYU in 2003.
Dr. Craciun then returned to clinical practice and he was selected for a neurology residency position at the prestigious New York-Presbyterian Hospital – Cornell, New York followed by a Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship at NINDS – NIH where he studied patients with rare variants of motor neuron disease.

Dr. Craciun is affiliated with Hackensack University Medical Center and Holy Name Medical Center. He is triple board-certified -Neurology, Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology.
Dr. Craciun published in peer review journals and received several awards in recent years including Patients’ Choice Award and Compassionate Doctor Award.
