West New York, NJ — The North Hudson Lawyers’ Club hosted its monthly meeting on January 20, 2026, at Meson Español in West New York, New Jersey. The featured speaker was Dr. Dariusz Nasiek, MD, Medical Director of Allied Neurology and Interventional Pain Practice (ANIPP), who delivered an informative presentation focused on Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)—a condition that is frequently overlooked or underdiagnosed following accidents.
During his presentation, Dr. Nasiek provided a clear overview of traumatic brain injury, emphasizing the critical importance of early detection and timely diagnosis. He explained how a simple, structured screening questionnaire can be an effective first step in identifying potential TBIs, particularly in patients who may not initially recognize or report neurological symptoms.
“At Allied Neurology and Interventional Pain Practice, our mission is to reduce the number of undiagnosed traumatic brain injuries,” said Dr. Nasiek. “By increasing awareness, asking the right questions, and educating both professionals and the community, we can help ensure patients receive accurate diagnoses and appropriate treatment.”
Dr. Nasiek emphasized that improving TBI outcomes begins with maintaining a high index of clinical suspicion after accidents such as motor vehicle collisions, falls, or workplace injuries. He stressed the importance of consistent symptom screening and proactive communication among physicians, patients, and family members to uncover TBIs that may otherwise remain hidden.
As part of the program, Dr. Nasiek also introduced the newly released second edition of his book, Brain Impact: Navigating TBI After Accidents. Drawing on decades of clinical experience, the updated edition provides practical guidance on recognizing, evaluating, and managing traumatic brain injuries. The book serves as both an educational resource and a call to action for healthcare professionals, attorneys, and the general public.
The North Hudson Lawyers’ Club thanked Dr. Nasiek for sponsoring the evening’s event, including complimentary dinners for ten judiciary law clerks, and recognized his continued dedication to advancing TBI education, early diagnosis, and patient-centered care through clinical practice, publishing, and community outreach.
