Dr. Dariusz J. Nasiek Hosts December Networking and TBI Awareness Event at Osteria Italiana

Osteria Italiana — December 11, 2025 — Dr. Dariusz Nasiek hosted a well-attended networking event that brought together colleagues, professional partners, and community members for an evening pairing seasonal connection with education on traumatic brain injury (TBI).

The event was sponsored by Sandy Moscaritolo, Esq., whose support helped set a celebratory tone for the evening.

A key focus of the program was the introduction of the second edition of “BRAIN IMPACT – Navigating TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) after Accidents,” presented during the December 11, 2025, networking event at Osteria Italiana.

Dr. Dariusz J. Nasiek explained that the book was developed by a multidisciplinary team—a reflection of how complex traumatic brain injury can be after accidents, and how important it is to look at the whole picture. The contributing authors bring complementary clinical and professional perspectives, including Dariusz J. Nasiek, MD; David Beucher, MD; Zyad Chaudhary, MD; Luisa Cacciaguida, MD; Yaldar Tahar, MD, DPT; August Price, PhD; and Julia Nasiek, Esq.

Guests also had the opportunity to hear directly from two of the authors—Dr. Zyad Chaudhary and Dr. Luisa Cacciaguida—who shared practical insights on why TBIs can be overlooked after an accident and why early attention to symptoms matters.

Their remarks reinforced the importance of careful evaluation, clear documentation, and thoughtful follow-up—especially when symptoms are subtle, delayed, or easily mistaken for stress or routine post-accident discomfort.

The presentation reviewed a comprehensive diagnostic approach that may include advanced testing and clinical assessments such as MRI-DTI, EEG, and Tele-EEG, cognitive assessments, and psychiatric evaluation.

To further strengthen community awareness and improve access to early screening and education, attendees also learned about tools now available beyond the office visit, including a mobile application for iPhone and Android—the TBI – Risk Assessment app—designed to support greater awareness and prompt next steps when concerns arise.

The program also emphasized the value of ongoing reevaluation through the Head Injury Early Life-saving Protocol (HELP), encouraging immediate post-accident evaluation and follow-up every six months to help prevent missed or evolving symptoms.

Expanded Festivities and Wine Tasting Appreciation

The evening carried a warm holiday spirit, bringing together friends, colleagues, and community members for conversation, connection, and shared learning in a relaxed setting.

A special highlight of the festivities was the wine tasting—an idea that quickly became a guest favorite.

Sincere thanks go to Sandy Moscaritolo, Esq., whose sponsorship, generosity, and creativity added a memorable touch to the event.

Later in the evening, Mr. Moscaritolo delighted attendees by organizing a wine tasting featuring his own handmade wine, creating a welcoming and festive atmosphere that encouraged people to mingle, share stories, and celebrate the season together.

Dr. Nasiek and the team also expressed appreciation to everyone who attended and helped make the night a success. This evening reinforced the value of community, collaboration, and trusted professional relationships.
